All Bandaged Up for Spring 2011

My love for Herve Leger by Max Azria has never faltered. The signature bandage dresses are the perfect, no-fail outfit for any occasion. For times when there is "nothing to wear", the Herve Leger is there to solve all wardrobe worries. With endless color combinations, and sleek designs with just the right amount of distinct detailing, the staple is never a bore (even though the bandage design framework remains the same throughout). It is a must have for every fashion darling's closet.

For Spring 2011, it's all about nude and neutral tones paired with more daring silhouettes, even the appearance of some ruffle skirts and floor-length gowns.

Though I prefer his deeper, brighter color statements, here are a couple of my favorites from his Spring 2011 Collection.

Fashion Know: Herve Leger was founded in 1985 by the designer currently known as Hervé L. Leroux. Leroux pioneered the creation of the "bandage" or "body-con (body-conscious)" dress, using materials associated with foundation garments to create dresses that would mold and shape the woman's figure with its signature bandage-like strips. In 1998, Herve Leger was acquired by the BCBG Max Azria Group. In 2007, Max Azria relaunched the Herve Leger brand under his own design direction with a capsule summer collection. Since then front row of Herve Leger's runway shows are often populated with actresses and celebrities attired in the brand's signature bandage dresses....

....and the rest is fashion history!
